I Am Authority

The wind breaches its wings for me
& leaves of thought raise subtly

My life is written by divorcing thoughts innate
From the soil—a stem that only knows to grow
My mind elates!

I bump into the world with annexes in trial
Like scalloped shells that fan their ornamental smiles

Caged birds squawk
Beady eyes envying the feathers
Prisoners of rationale
Watching Freedom do the honours

Flower Child

The silent poet speaks
Into the soul’s retreat
Proposing

Dances of the flesh
To the stars’ request
Of breathing

O how this fragile frame
Orchestrates her arcane
Exploration

Into stances that remain
Mysterious past the wane
Of wonder

Positions to unfold
The secret the mind holds
Eternal

Never shaded by a time
Ceaseless love in rhyme
With being
